Slowing Down

Why is it so hard for us humans to just SLOOOOW down?  I was home today for a sick day.  Still did some laundry and dishes--and took care of a sick daughter, too, but it was difficult to not feel a little guilty for slowing down.  I slept tons...and still feel like sleeping tons more. So...Goodnight...

  1. It took me a long time to come to grips with the need to slow down...I'm slowly learning that I need to perform self-care to have enough to care for others adequately. Rest up and feel better soon!

  2. We do have difficulty slowing down. It is in the moments that we slow down that we notice more. Hope you are refreshed.

  3. Get better. The 'joys' of being sick are that we get to slow down and sleep as much as we can, Listen to your body - no more housework!!

  4. Yep, that's your body saying, "Slow down and give me rest." Hope you feel better. I think a little warm weather and that warm sun would do us a lot of good.
